As someone who has been involved in software development for over 30 years I have seen many cycles in the on-going evolution of the web. I chose to use the word evolution specifically because I felt the environment of the global net represents an information ecology that demonstrates the core principles of evolution. This blog is an attempt to identify the forces at play in the evolution of the net and to identify the trends emerging from those forces.
I run the development group at a small software company located in southern California. I live in a small beach community with my wife and 3 daughters (and an ancient cat we inherited when a neighbor moved).
